Intent as he is on not delaying a return to Snowdin, Papyrus had not quite accounted for just how much the encounter with the human had depleted his strength. After coming around the corner to leave the alley with boots not lining up in stride consistently, his shoulders sank low with his backbone rounding as he found himself tilting trying to walk with his usual confident stride and slowed to a halt at the edge of the street. Perhaps...perhaps he needs to take a moment to collect himself a bit better. After all, one should not walk through puzzles if they cannot travel in straight paths.
Focus turned down into his gloves as he checks that his not-a-rock companion is safe, Papyrus notices someone come up close to him only just before he feels a grasp at his upper arms that pulls him back from a posterior sway. Reflexively, he reaches with one gloved hand to hold to a steadying arm as the other hand tucks his companion against his sternum. Allowing that strength to guide him to midline and raise his spine straight to stand to his full height, Papyrus is relieved by the correction and smiles gratefully, "OH! THANK YOU!"
His smile falters however as confusion follows the question posed to him, "FALL DOWN THE MOUNTAIN...? HOW CAN YOU FALL DOWN SOMETHING YOU ARE UNDER? IS THIS A RIDDLE?"
